Aldrich currently serves on the City Council, representing the constituents of Ward Three. During her first term on the City Council, Aldrich has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to the community by serving most recently as Chairwoman of the Council Finance Committee. She has made communication a priority, always making herself available to community residents. She initiated a no-host coffee, a warm invitation for residents across Ward Three to visit with their representatives monthly. Aldrich has held community forums that have covered a wide range of topics, from on-street storage containers to Wyoming’s open meeting law. Her strong advocacy for citizen inclusion in discussions that may impact them is a testament to her dedication.
Michelle Aldrich has played a pivotal role in initiating and supporting work that fosters new business and planned development, including emergency responders, fiscal responsibility, and personal property rights. She is not one to shy away from asking the tough questions. Her tireless efforts to connect with city employees, board, council, and commission members reflect her proactive approach to understanding the thoughts and concerns of those who are the backbone of our city. She can be found supporting local nonprofits, attending community events, and volunteering throughout the community. As a Councilwoman, she is the Council representative for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
