Values
Community Involvement
Elected officials should have connections and relationships throughout the community in which they serve. Michelle stays connected with her community by serving as the president of the Zonta Club of Cheyenne and the Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5440. Previously, Michelle has served as the president of the DKG Upsilon Chapter, president of the National Association of Teachers of Family Consumer Science, and president of the Wyoming Early Childhood Association.
Integrity
The moral principles we all hold most dear guide and shape who we are and how we affect our community. For elected officials, having a good moral character is even more important than it is for the average person. Corrupt politicians can cause irrecompensable levels of damage to the communities that they are entrusted to serve. For Michelle, acting with integrity first and following good old-fashioned ethics is paramount to being a leader who governs for the people.
Fiscal Conservative
No good ever follows fiscal irresponsibility, especially when a government is careless with its money. Our elected officials have a responsibility to manage the taxpayer’s money well and ensure that the government protects the money of its citizens. For Michelle, acting with fiscal responsibility is a must.
Transparency
Transparency is a cornerstone of trust building. As representatives of the people of their community, elected officials should be able to act with transparency. With behind-closed-door discussions becoming more commonplace, which can lead to mistrust and suspicion, Michelle stands as a voice of reason, advocating for honesty and transparency.
